Happy Thanksgiving to all of my friends, family and great folks that I work with.

I am thankful for you all!

It just hit me that Thanksgiving is this week.

The holiday week creeped up pretty quick.   I have been looking through the Christmas costumes section over at Spirit Halloween thinking that there were still a little more time before yummy Turkey Day (yum).

Happy Thanksgiving everyone (early).   Be safe.  Do not eat too much.

btw… It is a myth that eating turkey makes you sleepy because of tryptophan in it.   You can get sleepy by ingesting tryptophan but have to eat A LOT to get the affect.  If you eat too much, you will get sleepy.  No matter what you eat.

Tryptophan

I listen to news while working.   Today I heard a lot about Sarah Palin on Oprah.

It will be very interesting to see how things play out.  It sure looks like Sarah Palin has the intention of running for President some day.   Things that make you say hmmmm.   I am not sure what my opinion of that is.

I have been on social networks for years.     I can only imagine the costs involved of providing support to members of  Facebook and Myspace .   However,  There were a few times within the past months where it was very important to contact them.

If nothing else, they should offer a premium service of getting ahold of them.   If they wish marketers to use their site, they really should let us contact them in a timely manner when something goes very wrong.

I am a fan of both sites, I just hope that they improve on this.

It is very interesting to see people make comments about health care when they really do not understand what is going on.

Health care reform is needed.   It is messed up.  Too many of my friends would be alive today if we had a better health care system.   Each instance that I know of was because insurance not approving something that was really necessary.

In many places in the USA, If you take any pain medicine for any reason, that is enough for you to be denied for health care.    I am not saying what has been proposed is good or bad, it just has to change.

Black Friday is coming soon!

I have to admit that I was not interested in Black Friday.  But over the past few years, I have noticed really good deals right before, on , and after the day.

Last year, we went to Walmart a couple of days later, and they still had the most amazing deals.

There are many sites to help find the online and offline sales.  The one that I have followed the most is: http://gottadeal.com/blackfriday

Even if you do not check out that day, Cyber Monday is also a good way to go.  Hey, if you are going to buy something anyway, you might as well get a good deal.

Nicolas Cage is in the news a lot lately.

Apparently he is broke and cannot pay his taxes.   He is one of those actors who I really love all of his movies.  I think that he is an amazing actor.    I also am under the impression that he helped Johnny Depp in his early part of his career.

Although it always seemed like he feels that the public is beneath him.  I may be wrong, he may be a nice guy..but he always seemed stuck up.  Great movies though.

Jackie Chan and Jaden Smith are going to star in the remake of Karate Kid called Kung Fu Kid set for June 2010 opening date.

This could be a great movie.
