But now science is proving that loneliness and isolation can also cause significant health damage. Some studies show that the effects of social isolation are as bad as the effects of smoking on individual health. A recent study done in England was the first to measure social isolation separately from how lonely a person felt and the results were striking.
I am extremely excited about 2013 . I normally get excited around the beginning of the year. It is a great opportunitiy to reflect back on the year and determine how to be better.
This has been a bad year for many people. The weather around the country has been devisating. Many families lost their homes. The name Sandy will forever remind people of the horrible disasters of 2012. My heart goes out to those affected.
2013 will be better for all. This will be the year! There are major plans for the sites that I manage including this site. I plan on adding features that YOU would like to see. I hope that you are as optimistic and excited about the new year as I am.
The 2012 Holiday season is here. This is pretty exciting but scary too. It seems like I was just preparing for Halloween….I guess I was…already thinking about next year. Back to the holidays. Christmas is a great time for friends and family. It is great to hear from people that I only hear from once a year and reach out to peeps myself. It is also a good time to reflect on the past year so that next year can be better! Happy Holidays!
It is time for the Olympics. Here is the thing… I can’t say that I will be able to watch any of it this year.
I really admire 
and respect the great athletes who participate. I recognize the hard word and devotion that it takes to get to the Olympics.
I do not know about you, but if I get into watching something I like to watch the whole thing. If you watch a movie, you want to watch the whole thing.
With the Olympics it takes a lot of time to watch the events. I hope that I will get a chance to watch some events, but I don’t know when.
I do have to admit that there is one thing that got my attention lately.
AC/DC does not allow their music to be legally purchased for online streaming, download or any other online method.
As a music fan, I like to listen to music throughout the work day. Many years ago I purchased many CDs and played music in a CD player. As time progressed I have embraced services such as Rhapsody, Amazon and other sites that allow a decent selection to legally listen to my favorite artists and support their efforts.
I do not listen to CDs anymore. I listen to streaming services and MP3 files. I do not download illegal music. Over the past few months, I have been wanting to listen to AC/DC. I have searched near and far to a place to purchase AC/DC where I can listen online. Nope. Only those who want to illegally download music can listen to them online with the exception of watching videos. In the search I have seen statements from AC/DC saying that they never will allow their collection to be available online. To me, that is the same as them not allowing them to come out on CD because they only wanted them to be available on cassette. This is not the 80′s or 90′s people. You are choosing for your fans to not be able to purchase your music on the new popular formats only because you do not understand the new demands of your legit fans. Yes, there will be those who pirate your music…they already do. Do not be stubborn old farts. Get with the program and allow your fans to purchase your music.
It is July 4th already! Wow. Happy Independence Day!
This is a fantastic country and no matter how bad things are right now, we should feel blessed for all that we have.
I recently saw a news story where the anual income in Yemen is $1,000 per year. This is not a lot of money.

As I work for my clients I must say that it is nice to notice that the WORLD is figuring out the benefits of social media in most aspects of business. 
There are a lot of old school companies out there that do not understand the need to now make it easier for their customers to be able to jump across all of their marketing channels. Cross channel marketing is important. It is the same customers that what help on your Facebook page to visit your store in the mall. Promotions should be coordinated. Information should be provided.
For the most part, I believe that the economy has forced these companies
Everything chatters. All channels matter.
I seriously am obsessed with dramatically improving success in 2011. My clients and co-workers and teams are great. 
I am moving many of my sites “THE NEXT LEVEL” this year. I am in search of partners, peers and others that can work with me. At this time, I am seeking content pfoiders.
My philosophy has also increased over the past year where the more success, the more charitable contriutions. Being a good person is important.
